This study takes the aging of the population as the starting point collates the living needs of the elderly reviews the current housing policy in Taiwan and focuses on the implementation of intergenerational co-housing and it is mainly divided into two parts: the release of vacant houses and the operation mechanism of intergenerational co-housing This study analyzes the policy and the mechanism of intergenerational co-housing and compares the case studies with the Netherlands Germany Japan and Taiwan to understand the conversion of urban vacant spaces and its strategies for intergenerational co-housing With in-depth interviews with the department of residential development and the operators of co-residents of intergenerational co-housing to summarize the analysis results to discuss the current status of domestic implementation and matters that needing attention
