Abstract

Using a sample of family firms from 2011 to 2016 in Taiwan I investigated the succession of family firms and the effects of these firms’ political connectedness on their performance This paper investigates how political connection influence firm performance of family succession The results reveal that firms with political connections experience worse firm performance The results also demonstrates insignificant positive interaction between political connection and family business on firm performance
