Apart from the special geographical location with strategic value the South China Sea is known for its abundance of aquatic products and energy resources which neighboring nations cast greedy eyes on The undefined sovereignty of the South China Sea further leads to the arbitration over the sovereign rights petitioned by the Philippines to the Permanent Court of Arbitration which thereby affects the scope of rights for Taiwan to exercise in the South China Sea Therefore this paper will emphasize on the extent of impact on Taiwan in terms of the International Law after the notice of the arbitration decision on the South China Sea
