Abstract
This study was to investigate the relationship between teacher job stress and teacher sense of efficacy in junior high schools. The sample of 345 teachers were selected from the junior high schools in Tainan and Kaohsiung area by the random stratified cluster sampling technique. Data were collected by ''''Teacher Stress Questionnaire'''', and ''''Teaching Self-Efficacy Questionnaire''''.The results showed that there was a significant difference in teacher job stress on different school size. The teachers in the large school perceived more teacher job stress than the teachers of the small schools. There was also a significant difference in teacher sense of efficacy on different school size. The teachers in the large school perceived lower teacher sense of efficacy than the teachers of the small schools. Finally, the teachers who have more than 21-year teaching experience perceived lowest teacher job stress. There was a significant negative relationship between teacher job stress and teacher sense of efficacy.
