The Research on Community Participation of Restoring and Reusing Old Buildings : A Case Study of Longtian Community Care Center in Guantian District Tainan City

Abstract

This research cooperating with the Ministry of Education promotes the University Social Responsibility (USR) To record the teachers and students of the Department of Architecture community residents government institution professional cooperators restore and reuse the old unused buildings in the community This research analyzes the influence of various factors and the standpoints of different participating roles by the changes in the various phases of restoring and reusing It sorts out the response methods for usage requirements and budget adjustments in the various phases This research used a set of simple repair and low-budget restoring and reusing methods It observed the participation and work content of students community residents government institution and professional cooperators in the various phases through the process of restoring and reusing And it found the problems faced in the process Make suggestions through literature references and participant interview data It is hoped that external forces will be connected to drive the new vitality of the community through the process of restoration and reuse And combine local campuses professional cooperators and community organizations to cultivate the seeds of sustainable community management
