Earthquakes are a phenomenon in which the crust releases energy but they often cause disasters that cannot be ignored such as landslides and soil liquefaction which greatly affect human life The severity of earthquake disasters is often closely related to local site effects especially for buildings located in soft sedimentary basins The main reason is that after seismic waves pass through the alluvial strata the amplitude of certain frequencies is often significantly amplified to cause disasters Based on the above in recent years microtremor has been used as a non-destructive testing tool that can clearly reflect the site effect and the overall soil performance having the advantages of fast economy and simple operation Therefore this research is mainly divided into two parts The first part attempts to compare the existing intensive geological drilling data in Tainan City so SPT-N value and H/V spectrum waveforms measured by the microtremor can be compared and then classify the relationship between waveforms and soil conditions The second part is to use the NCEER method for the liquefaction potential evaluation of each spectrum waveforms and then do the microtremor measurement at the actual liquefaction position to check the reliability of the induction result From the result we can know that different waveform characteristics can effectively correspond to the respective soil layer conditions and the classification results of waveforms and liquefaction potentials can also be used effectively to explore the actual situation where liquefaction occurs Therefore this will be used as a preliminary assessment of the soil layer distribution in the area where geological drilling has not been surveyed
