SUMMARY After the lifting of martial law Taiwanese Literature has walked into the era of heteroglossia The development of female novel has also enriched the horizons and perspectives of Taiwanese Literature The theme of both novels Shih Shu-ching’s “Dust In The Wind” and Tsushima Yuko’s “Amariniyabanna” are based on feminine trauma of different generations since the Japanese-Occupied Period Both novels written with memory retrospective intended to describe the trauma of gender colonialism and modernity The trauma writing not only succeed the theme and characteristic of Taiwanese female novel in the 1990’s but also presents unique aesthetic of redemption within This thesis is mainly focus on two parts: (1) Succeeding previous research by analyzing and sorting out the trauma in the novels from the perspective of gender colonialism and modernity Which is to point out how the discourse of patriarchy and colonization affect people of different gender ethnic group and nationality (2) Analyzing the distinctive aesthetic of redemption in the novels to describe how the writing form and the content imply the information of redemption “Dust In The Wind” leads its readers to pay attention to the history of suffering by expressing in lyrical perspective The unique objects play its role of recalling memory as to reveal the hidden history On the other hand “Amariniyabanna” represents trauma in the feminine space and show its care for the existence of human being by the rewriting of aboriginal myths and legends Trauma narrative has become the salvation for not only the characters in the novel but also the author and its readers Key word: Trauma Writing Aesthetic of Redemption lyric Object ?criture Writing demythologizing
