組織簡介
本系1989創設大學部護理學系，為南台灣第一所國立大學護理學系；1999成立護理碩士班，招收成人護理、精神衛生護理、產兒科護理、社區護理與護理行政5組；2003成立健康照護科學研究所博士班護理組。2012新增國際碩士班學程，2017成立護理國際博士班。
本系以同感、尊重、敬業、愛人為系訓，為整合各種資源、知識、研究結果與理論，應用於臨床實務之專業。本系的教學強調培養學生自主性、獨立性、批判性及創造性之人格特質，故融合有效的學習情境，引導學生思考社會變遷對全民健康及護理專業的影響；並能應用整體性照護的概念於個人、家庭、團體與社區的護理；期望畢業生能具備醫學專業及人文科學知識、臨床護理技能、批判性思考、倫理思辨、實證實務、教與學、人際溝通、 領導與管理及終生學習等能力，並兼具社會關懷、 國際視野與使命感的護理專業人才。
