摘要
The issue on the relationship between religiosity and delinquencies has been paid attention by sociologists and criminologists for a long time. Because of the surprising results which Hirschi and Stark (1969) thought there is no significant relationship, there were many researches reexamining it. Some studies supported Hirschi and Stark's outcomes, but most were different from them. Moreover, some studies were short of systemically controlling background variables and more complete religious variables. Therefore, we used the data of Monitoring the Future in 2014 to test the relationship among religiosity, attitude and behavior of marijuana use for senior high school students with partial least squares - structural equation modeling, and to explore the differences between genders and races with multi-group comparison strategy. The results of this study indicated that academic achievement, religiosity, and the attitude of marijuana use not only had directly negative impact on the behavior of marijuana use, but also the first two had indirectly negative impact on it through the attitude after controlling family socioeconomic background. Moreover, though there were no differences between genders, the influence of religiosity for black students on the attitude of marijuana use was stronger than whit students'.
