摘要
This paper presents comparative simulated results on mechanical power and blade efficiency of a fix-speed wind turbine (FSWT) and a variable-speed wind turbine (VSWT) under identical time-varying wind speeds. The simulated results of optimal operation (OPT) with pitch control are also compared with the ones of both FSWT and VSWT to realize the performance of various studied wind turbines. From the simulated results, it is found that VSWT and OPT can obtain more mechanical power and blade efficiency than FSWT.
