A fibrinogen assay using specific aptamer on an integrated microfluidic chip

摘要

Fibrinogen is a risk factor and useful biomarker for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). We selected single stranded DNA aptamers as new-affinity reagent which can specifically bind to fibrinogen. An integrated microfluidic chip by using magnetic beads coated with aptamer for detecting fibrinogen was reported. Instead of using antibodies, an aptamer was used as a capturing probe toward fibrinogen. The aptamer has been verified its affinity to fibrinogen. The experimentally data showed that this integrated microfluidic chip can assay fibrinogen concentrations with only few microliter plasma samples.
