N2 - With the increasing growth in VoIP services and applications in recent years, the problem of achieving a reliable two-way authentication between the server and the client has emerged as a fundamental concern. VoIP communications are generally handled using the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). However, SIP does not support two-way authentication and has poor terminal mobility capabilities. Accordingly, this study proposes a Kerberos-based architecture for accomplishing a single sign-on functionality and mutual authentication capability in VoIP SIP environments.
