N2 - In this paper, we proposed a ubiquitous 1-to-k media streaming architecture in which IPv4 and IPv6 clients in the transitive environment can be served simultaneously. The architecture is achieved by the adoption of Multicast Transition Gateway (MTG). The deployment of MTGs in the architecture induces the requirement of efficiently selecting a proper MTG for streaming relay. An MTG selection framework is also designed for this issue.
