Acentric panorama view rendering

摘要

In this paper we propose a novel 2D plenoptic function called "acentric panorama view (APV)". This novel 2D plenoptic function has the feature that it samples the panorama scenes without oversampling and undersampling like the traditional panorama view. A single APV can be accelerated by view culling and list-priority rendering algorithm. Constructing multiple APVs concentrically, we can have a novel 3D plenoptic function (concentric APVs), which is similar to concentric mosaics1 and can highly enhance the visibility around the center. The concentric mosaics is indeed a subset of our concentric APVs.
