Acoustic-wave diffraction about a body of arbitrary impedance

摘要

The integral-equation method is applied to study the diffracted field of an acoustic source at an arbitrary location relative to a ring aperture in a baffle of arbitrary impedance. A set of eight real Fredholm integral equations of the second kind is used to determine the surface-source densities or the velocity potentials on the baffle surfaces. The effect of different parameters on the diffracted acoustic field is systematically studied and compared. A general discussion based on the comparison of diffracted acoustic field about a perfectly soft baffle, a perfectly hard baffle, and a baffle of arbitrary impedance is given.
