N2 - In this paper, we propose some intelligent control schemes to solve multimedial synchronization issues. These intelligent control schemes can be adopted in the kernel of a distributed multimedia application to process reverse, skip, freeze-restart, and scale interactions. An interactive distributed multimedia development system is developed on SUN SPARC workstations based on the proposed intelligent control schemes.
