Application of a two-dimensional hydraulic sediment transport model to estimate dredged location and dredged amount

摘要

In this study, an Alluvial River Movable Bed Two Dimensional (ARMB-2D) Model is used to simulate the potential of sediment erosion and deposition in the river sections of Laonung creek for all flooding events in 2012 and 2013. The simulation results obtained from the ARMB-2D model indicates that all the sections of Laonung creek with serious sediment deposition corresponds to dredged areas. Further analysis of the simulated distribution of erosion and deposition amount for all rainfall events in 2012 and 2013showed high correlation with the dredged amount in 2012 and 2013. In conclusion, the results indicated that the actual dredged area and the simulated dredged area are highly correlated. Thus, the current model may be useful for simulating long term erosion and deposition of a river and in estimating the dredged location and dredged amounts.
