Applying QFD method & idea flow for craft-art experiment teaching - "Song dynasty: Along the river during the qingming festival" in primary school

摘要

The "Quanta Culture & Education Foundation" conducted "Song Dynasty Culture Exhibition" in primary school. They Used reproductions of "Song Dynasty Cultural Relics" to let children contact the living culture of the Song Dynasty. We were curious the learning effectiveness of this exhibition, so then we took a series of experimental teaching. We drew the "Student's real activity figure" and using "idea flows" to describe the process of craft-art courses and the cultural performances. We try to discover the relationship & the frequency of student activities and learning data. This study had a plan of action research and was conducted in 24-hour class-time of a Craft-Arts course. The objects to be observed are fifth & sixth grade primary school students. The present study shows that the students, 1) effectively participated in the culture and craft - arts studies, 2) made critical interrogations by broadening their thoughts based on their previous knowledge, and 3) found the course more entertaining in the culture and craft - arts studies. This study applied the concepts of "Team Idea Figure" for described the teaching process, social learning, work evaluation, information of student's background, working relationship, team communication mode, and history. We hope this research can provide: 1) the strategies of lesson plans and craft-art teaching, 2) the descriptor methods of studying mode and 3) the assessment of teaching performance. In the final stage, from the teaching plan, the project assessment, and student activities, we use the QFD (Quality Function Deployment) method to find the material weight of teaching.
