摘要

The contact area of an unconstrained metacarpophalangeal (MCP) prosthesis was measured using a magnetic tracking system and geometric models of the prosthesis. The contact area of the prosthesis ranged from 54 mm² at the maximally flexed and extended positions to 68 mm² in the middle of the range of motion.
