N2 - Biomechanics of wrist guards during fall arrests was discussed. The impact force on the hand was studied when wrist guards were used during forward and backward fall arrests. It was found that the current design of wrist guards does not provide advantages or benefits for absorbing the fall impact energy which can reduce wrist injuries during fall arrests.
