摘要

A multiwall carbon nanocells were prepared by hydrothermal treatment at 600 °C of amorphous carbon. Characterization by high resolution transmission electron microscopy and micro-Raman spectroscopy indicate that reactivity of hydrothermal fluids induces reordering of carbon bonds in the amorphous state to a more structurally stable graphitic lattice, rich in sp2 bonded sheets, as the result of bubble growth of graphitic multiwalls in the hot hydrothermal fluid. The reactivity and fluidity of hydrothermal fluids are essential to allow the growth and mobility of graphitic flakes or clusters to form curled patches of graphitic carbon at low temperatures.
