摘要
An experimental study determines the characteristics of open and transitional cylindrical cavities for compressible turbulent flow. For a given value of M, the effect of δ/cavity depth is evident only near the rear face of a cavity. The trailing-edge expansion and the amplitude of the peak pressure fluctuations decrease as δ/cavity depth increases. When the value of δ/cavity depth is less than 1.00, there is a greater decrease in the amplitude of the peak pressure fluctuations. For a given value of δ/cavity depth, the amplitude of the peak pressure fluctuations decreases as the value of M increases, particularly for a transitional cavity flow.
