摘要

The system La//2O//3-WO//3 was studied in detail by solid state reaction, co-fusion, annealing and high-temperature x-ray diffraction. Two cubic fluorite-related phases have been found: 3La//2O//3. WO//3 and 5La//2O//3. 2WO//3. The 3:1 compound has a C-type b. c. c. structure. The new compound, 5:2, was identified as a pyrochlore-related f. c. c. structure. The 3:1 compound is stable above 1740 degree C up to the melting point. Below 1740 degree C it decomposes into the 5:2 compound and La//2O//3. The 5:2 compound is stable up to 1780 degree C, and appears to decompose into the 3:1 compound and the 3:2 compound at higher temperatures. Refs.
