摘要
Caro's acid (H//2SO//5) is a relatively stable reagent, although it is a more powerful oxidizing agent than hydrogen peroxide. Because it has previously found some applications in hydrometallurgy as a leachant for uranium and other ores, its use was investigated in this work as a possible reagent for removing sulfur from coal. The effects of the amount and concentration of Caro's acid, the temperature, presence of hydrogen peroxide, and coal particle size on the desulfurization of coal have been investigated.
