Design analysis and performance assessment of winged-airship for micro transport

摘要

Micro transport might contribute to metropolitan services for micro delivery. However, vehicle performance may determine the overall value of this idea. Vehicle design with safety, reliability and stability is studied. A new concept of winged-airship is proposed with an idea to adhere a pair of wings in the conventional airship to offer substantial lift, increase wind resistance, and create a natural stability under normal flight condition. Vehicle specifications are considered and designed, and prototype fabrication is implemented. With limited constraints, the design process for the winged-airship is carried out with feasibility analysis and numerical simulation, in order to establish a feasible solution for system fabrication. The experiment result is repeatedly examined by simulation result with modifications.
