摘要

Phytobezoar is formed by tightly packed vegetable fiber and can cause duodenal obstruction in the presence of other etiology causing narrowing of the lumen of the duodenum. Diagnostic delay can occur due to nonspecific clinical manifestation. Endoscopic removal is usually done in adult but is a difficult procedure in pediatric population. Surgical removal via a gastrotomy after milking of the bezoar backward into the stomach is safe alternative to duodenotomy.
