Dynamic stability of bimodulus beam subjected to a periodic axial load is investigated by using the Timoshenko beam theory. To determine the instability frequency ranges, the Bolotin's method is employed. The effects of in-plane load, slenderness ratios and modulus ratios on the instability regions are investigated.
