EFFECTS OF CHLORINE ON THE PHOTORESPONSE OF SCREEN PRINTED CdS FILMS.

摘要

The effects of chlorine, which was added in the form of CdCl//2, on the photoconductivity and photoluminescence of the screen printed CdS films, were examined and studied. Hall measurements were carried out at room temperature, either illuminated with 100 lux white light or kept in dark. Photoluminescence spectra were obtained for the screen printed films prepared with different CdCl//2 contents, and also for CdS films fired at different peak firing temperature. The spectra were obtained both at room temperature and at 15 degree K. The best photoconductivity was observed for CdS films added with 9. 1% (wt. ) CdCl//2 and fired at 570 degree C. Three peaks were observed in the photoluminescence spectrum, i. e. , 6200A, 7300A and 9800A. Among the CdS films prepared with 9. 1% (wt. ) and 5% (wt. ) CdCl//2, the 6200A peak was always the strongest when fired at 570 degree C.
