摘要

A quasi-moving-boundary approximation with pseudo convection correction is used to compute the growth behavior of spherical crystal nuclei in subcooled liquids. The effects of interface curvature and attachment kinetics are included. Based on this approach, an ordinary differential equation governing the position of the solid/liquid interface is obtained. Therefore, this new approach can be easily generalized to cover any problem of interest. The validity of this approximation is first checked with the known finite difference results. Some numerical solutions for water are presented and discussed. The interfacial effects are found to be important only in the initial time period, however, they have a profound influence on the stability of the interface.
