Effects of photoinitiator on the properties of polymer ball type polymer dispersed liquid crystal films

摘要

The effects of photoinitiator on the properties of "polymer ball" type polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) films have been studied. It was found that the size of the polymer balls is larger for samples prepared with a smaller photoinitiator concentration. The threshold voltage will become higher for samples with a larger polymer balls. Also, the off-state transmission will become higher and the contrast ratio will become smaller for samples prepared with a smaller photoinitiator concentration.
