摘要
A device has been made commercially available, namely, the 3SPACE Isotrak System McDonnell Douglas Electronics Company, which determines the three-dimensional position and orientation of a sensor in relation to a source or any other reference frame relative to a source. The six degrees of freedom measurements are accomplished by using low frequency, magnetic field technology which can interpret the interaction of magnetic fields between the sets of three orthogonal coils contained in both the source and sensor. With appropriate alignment and attachment of the source and sensor to the anatomic structures, the relative locations and orientations of the anatomic elements can be monitored. The purpose of this study was to examine the sensitivity and accuracy of the 3Space system for kinematic analysis using simulated joint and then the kinematic study of the elbow joint.
