摘要

Science and technology are presented for novel nitrogen-incorporated ultrananocrystalline diamond (N-UNCD) encapsulated NG/copper anode and UNCD coatings that may enable next generation Li-ion batteries (LIBs) with potential 10x longer lifetime and superior performance than current LIBs. N-UNCD films (?5-10 nm grain size) exhibit electrical conductivity and extreme resistance to chemical corrosion, providing superior performance with respect to current uncoated anodes.
