Empresses in the palace and the “neoliberalization through china” project in Taiwan

This chapter discusses the concept of neoliberal governmentality in producing subjectivity in a network society, followed by a discussion of the project of neoliberalization through China in Taiwan. This neoliberal thought articulates with the KMT’s authoritarian philosophy as well as with Communist China’s political strategy in using traditional Chinese culture as an economic resource to unify with Taiwan.
