Fabrication of Ba 1−x ZnO 2 nanowires using solvothermal synthesis: Piezotronic and piezophototronic performance characterization

This paper reports the fabrication and characterization of the extended piezoelectric properties of Ba-deficient BaZnO 2 (Ba 1 x ZnO 2 ) nanowires. The study highlights can be summarized as follows: (1) a facile fabrication method of Ba 1 x ZnO 2 through pH modulation using solvothermal synthesis is developed, (2) impurities are minimized and the morphology of Ba 1−x ZnO 2 is tailored using various substrates, and (3) the piezotronic and piezophototronic properties of Ba 1−x ZnO 2 are characterized.
