摘要

Carbon deposition frequently happens in the coke oven, mainly accumulated beneath the top roof and on the upper part of side walls, during the coking process. One of the efficient method to remove the carbon deposits in the coke oven is the burning off process by injecting fresh air toward the carbon-deposited surfaces. The burn-off carbon deposition by means of air injection in a typical coke oven, which is a problem of transient, three-dimensional, turbulent reacting flow, is performed by computational fluid dynamics. A feasibility study of this removal approach of carbon deposition in the coke oven is demonstrated. It shows that this carbon-deposition removal approach by means of air injection is feasible in the coke oven.
