Focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver is a rare benign tumor of unknown etiology. We present a 26-year-old female patient who complained of intermittent abdominal discomfort and epigastralgia for 3 years. The initial work-up of the patient included imaging studies, such as abdominal ultrasound abdominal computerized tomography, angiography and magnetic resonance imaging. In order to differentiate between a diagnosis of focal nodular hyperplasia and a diagnosis of adenoma or hemangioma, a liver scan and liver biopsy were performed. Herein, we report the interesting imaging and pathological findings.
