title = "High temperature superconducting materials: Present status, future challenges, and one recent example-the superconducting ferromagnet",
abstract = "Great progress has been made in all areas of high temperature superconductivity research in the last 14 years. This presentation will focus only on the material aspects. After briefly summarizing the present status and future challenges, some characteristics of ideal high temperature superconductors are proposed. High temperature superconductors also provide a fertile ground for the study of physics. This is exemplified by the recent observation of a novel superconducting state in the superconducting ferromagnet RuSr2GdCu2O8.",
