Improved efficiency and high color purity of top-emission white organic light emitting diode by anode oxidation technique

摘要

This work proposes a top-emission white organic light emitting diode (WOLED) device design with improved efficiency and color purity by performing Ag anode oxidation in the plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) system. The experimental results, which indicate the reflectivity, conductivity, and surface roughness characteristics of the Ag anode, show different dependences on the deposition power and oxidation duration of the PECVD system. The present WOLED design demonstrates an optimum brightness of 10,700 cd/ m 2, a current efficiency of 1.08 cd/A, and white color purity with the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage coordinate of (0.35, 0.33).
