N2 - Direct-quadrature (d-q) -axis inductances are important for vector control. This paper attempts to define the correlations of d-q axis inductance with leakage inductance, magnetizing inductance and inductance variation, which would enable the simplification of the calculation of the micro-control unit and accelerate the response of permanent-magnet synchronous motors. An interior permanen t magnet motor model is employed for simulation, analysis and measurement of d-q axis inductance.
