Limited-slip Differential Modelling and Control

摘要

In this study, a new type active limited slip differential device is proposed for vehicle application. This active limited slip differential device is developed based on planetary gear sets, which can effectively couple the power sources from two motor. A primary motor is the main power source in a vehicle, and an assistive motor is utilized to reduce the tire slippage. A dynamic model is established for the proposed active limited slip differential device, and it is helpful to develop limited-slip control strategy. The limited-slip experiment is implemented by using the dynamic model, and the experimental results show the limited-slip control strategy is available.
