摘要
The introduction of silicon powder into AISI304L stainless steel powder aggregates produces duplex staInless steels with mixed austenite-ferrite structures. The volume fraction of the newly induced ferrite phase increases with increasing silicon addition and sintering temperature. The hardness and tensile strength are markedly increased by silicon additions, high temperature oxidation resistance is improved by increasing the amount of added silicon powder, and corrosion resistance in FeCl3 solution increases with increasing volume fraction of ferrite because of the preferential dissolution of austenite in the corrosion medium. All the stated properties are highly dependent upon the individual microstructures.
