摘要

The present paper describes the application of the well developed strip method including the viscous damping effect on the prediction of the motion and hydrodynamic pressure for twin-hull type semisubmersible and SWATH ship in waves. The hydrodynamic interaction effect is generally significant for twin-hull bodies with large underwater structure and therefore considered here. The semi-submerged twin-hull bodies generally have the character of small water plane area which causes the small wave damping and consequently the viscous effect becomes important and must be included in the calculation. With the careful treatment on the interaction and viscous effect, the refined results for the dynamic response of twin-hull bodies is obtained.
