摘要

Ozone pollution is still an unsolved problem in many urban and sub-urban areas around the world. A study on the characteristics of ozone produced in the previous days and remained in the nocturnal residual layers in southern Taiwan was carried out. The profile-averaged ozone concentrations in the early morning could explain 30.5 % of the variations of surface afternoon ozone peaks, and, thus, were important factors on the accumulation of daily surface ozone peaks. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the AWMA's 99th Annual Conference and Exhibition (New Orleans, LA 6/20-23/2006).
