摘要

A stability index is introduced for on-line stability indication of control systems. The stability criterion states that if the stability index is less than one, the control system is stable. A design method based on the stability is also developed. The method is an on-line one. During operation, on-line modification of the control system is conducted. A better performance is obtained.
