Optical processor using waveguide holograms in multimode interference (MMI) couplers

摘要

A spatial optical pattern processor using 2-dimensional holograms in multimode interference (MMI) couplers is proposed and analyzed. A theory is developed to describe MMI holograms which show good agreement with beam propagation simulations and experiments.
