N2 - This paper presents a novel flexible strain sensor for real time bone strain sensing with higher resolution the current metallic foil strain gauge. The material for strain sensing is Single-walled Carbon Nanonets (SWCNNs) that encapsulated between two layers of Parylene-C, with a polyimide layer as the bone surface. All the micro-fabrication were compatible with standard IC process. The prototype has been tested with commercial strain gauge using tensile testing. The average gauge factor of the polyimide-based SWCNNs strain sensors was 7.67, with standard deviation of 0.46.
