Power assistive control for a motor-driven bicycle

摘要

The electric power-Assist system is to help vehicle operator to achieve the same speed with less effort, as compared to the situation when the vehicle is purely human power driven. That is, the electric power-Assist system acts only to assist the human power, but not replacing it. Conventional power- Assist controllers need force sensing, and only focus on the amplification of the force. But force sensing is replaced by a PI-type closed-loop torque observer (PICTO) on this research. That is, a force sensor free power assistive controller is proposed.
