N2 - Computer programming language is a fundamental skill for university students learning more advanced courses. However, programming courses have been regarded as difficulty courses by many students, leading to a high dropout rate. Therefore, how to enhance students learning attitude so as to improve their programming language skills becomes a challenging issue. The program of accredited courses has been promoted for over a decade and it tends to provide students achieving the purpose of self-learning. Those courses, containing videos of instructors and courseware, are digitalized on an e-learning system for facilitating learning anytime. This study tends to examine the effect of using an accredited course for programming language learning on an e-book platform which is regarded as a personalized learning device. Based on the personalization concept, a strategy of adapting the student's personalized programming language experiences has been adopted in this study. Our results reveals that with the personalized e-book device and the quality accredited programming course not only can enhance students' attitude but also promote their performance in learning the computer programming course.
