Rationally designed RGO@CuO@Mn2O3as an excellent electrocatalyst for the rapid and real-time detection of 2-nitrophenol

Rationally designed and functional electronic structures of TMOs (precisely Cu and Mn) with purposeful morphologies were prepared using a facile synthetic method. The physical, chemical, and crystalline characteristics of the TMOs were scrutinized using FE-SEM, HRTEM, XRD, and Raman spectroscopic analysis. The prepared microstructures of TMOs@RGO such as RGO@CuO@Mn2O3, CuO nanoparticles (NPs), and Mn2O3 nanosheets (NSs) and rGO were examined through the quantification of 2-nitrophenol (2-NP) to evaluate the electrocatalytic ability of the TMOs@RGO for electrochemical biosensing. After satisfactory optimization, a fine reduction peak was obtained for RGO@CuO@Mn2O3/GCE based on the sensing of 2-NP, with a linear range of 0.5-126 μM and a LOD of 0.021 μM. The applicability of the established sensor was tested on river and lake waters, and significant spike recoveries were achieved.
