Reduction of the vibration response of a geared rotor-bearing system with residual shaft bow by optimization

摘要

This paper presents an optimization procedure for vibration reduction of a geared rotor-bearing system with residual bows in shafts. In practice, the shafts would deform after a certain period of service time and the deformation will increase system vibration. Replacing bowed shafts by new ones is an easy way to solve this problem; however, this is a waste of resources and environmentally unfriendly. In this paper, the shafts are equipped with viscoelastic bearing supports and optimization algorithm is applied to reduce the vibration caused by residual shaft bow. The gear vibration and transmitted forces on viscoelastic bearing supports are individually or simultaneously considered as the objectives during optimization process of vibration reduction. Numerical results show that the influence of residual shaft bow on vibration response of geared rotor-bearing system can be minimized by equipping the shafts with viscoelastic bearing supports and by altering the bearing positions.
